Talent is the cornerstone of corporate development; recruiting outstanding Chinese and Japanese professionals is, in particular, a vital foundation for enterprises’ sustainable growth in Sino-Japanese economic and trade activities. To further assist current students and graduates of Waseda University in gaining insights into Chinese enterprises, the Waseda University and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Japan will jointly host the event “Knowing Chinese Companies 2021” on November 26, 2021. The event will target member companies of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Japan, other Chinese-Japanese enterprises, as well as current students and alumni of Waseda University.

To help Chinese enterprises gain a deeper understanding of key issues related to labor and human resources when entering the Japanese market—including differences in corporate culture between China and Japan, Japan’s employment systems, and strategies for attracting and hiring top talent in Japan—the Legal Affairs Department of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) hosted an online seminar on October 8 titled “Analysis of Japan’s Economic Situation: Interpretation of Corporate Employment Systems.”

To assist Chinese enterprises operating in Japan in implementing preventive measures and enhancing their immunity in the post-pandemic era, the China Enterprises Association in Japan, in collaboration with the International Healthcare Management Association, has specially invited Mr. Yoshito Futagi, Visiting Professor at the School of Medicine, Showa University, to deliver a live online lecture titled “Current Status and Future Outlook of COVID-19: What Scenarios Might Lead to the End of the Pandemic?”

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) epidemic, the international environment confronting Chinese-funded enterprises overseas—members of the China Enterprises Association in Japan—has undergone profound and complex changes, with both traditional and non-traditional security risks intensifying.
